Welcome to Hipfig’s Video Guide Series on Boston. In this video we’ll be talking about the John F Kennedy (JFK) Presidential Library and Museum in Boston.
The JFK. Presidential Library and Museum is located at Columbia Point in Boston near the University of Massachusetts. The most convenient way to the JFK Presidential Library and Museum is by the T or subway and the shuttle bus. Take the Red T line to JFK/ Umass station.
Exit the station and at the station level follow the signs to the busway JFK Library. Board bus number 2, a free shuttle bus that will take you from the T station to the JFK Library and Museum. The bus will make stops at the University of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts State Archives before stopping at the JFK library. Bus number 2 runs every 20 minutes starting on the hour during museum hours.
There’s also signage at the T-stop indicating the pickup location for bus number 2. Bus number 2 drops you off right in front of the museum. The main building provides a sweeping view of Boston’s waterfront located on Columbia Point. The library and museum is set on a landscaped 10 acre park.
The Presidential Library and Museum is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm. The start time for the last introductory film of the day is at 3:55 p.M. You can purchase tickets at the admissions desk in the main lobby. If you’re visiting multiple attractions in Boston, consider purchasing a “GO Boston” card by Smart Destinations.
The GO card is a really good deal if you intend to go to many attractions in Boston. Once inside the John F Kennedy Presidential Library, visitors can experience the museum through 3 theaters, period settings, and 25 dramatic multimedia exhibits. There’s also a recreated world of the Kennedy presidency for a first-hand experience of John F Kennedy’s life, legacy, and leadership. Non-english brochures are also available in nine languages.

From May to October President Kennedy’s 26-foot sailboat, Victura, is also displayed on the grounds. Visitors can also walk along the Boston Harbor walk or picnic on the grounds There’s also a museum store and cafe Happy Travels.
